Job Description
JOB TITLE: Finance Officer
LOCATION: EPIC Solutions, Glen House, Sigford Road, Exeter
SALARY: Negotiable based on experience – circa £29,970-£36,483 pro rata
HOURS: 22.5 per week
REPORTS TO: Practice manager
Job Summary
The finance officer is a highly valued member of the EPIC team, responsible for the smooth running of financial aspects of the business in conjunction with the Office manager under the supervision of the Practice Manager, Chief Finance officer and Finance Director.
This role is part time (up to 22.5 hrs per week).
The finance officer will work closely with the CFO, FD and Practice Manager to maintain financial standards and operations.
Key Contributions
- Invoicing, payments, debt recovery and oversight and management of unpaid invoices.
- Maintenance of company accounting system (Xero)
- Financial Liaison with external agencies
- Production of financial summaries and reports as required
- Maintenance of cliniko records, systems and staff training
- Process clinical requests from external agencies such as (ASF, SGO, DCC)
- Assist with the development of specific projects on request
- Attendance at relevant meetings as required
- Processing of requests for travel
- Processing invoices from associates and employees , suppliers and customers
- Preparation of remittance advice
- Submitting amendments to payroll
- Processing financial information for new starters
- Invoice processing
- Oversight of company card
- Monitor oversight of information governance, technology in conjunction with the IGO and Caldicott Guardian
- Monitor standards for data entry and collection
- Ensure data protection and back up
- Day to day monitoring of company website content
- Ensure financial data is accurately inputted using a variety of systems in a timely way
- Adherence to Caldicott principles and data protection act
- An ability to manage difficult conversations with colleagues and clients
- An ability to manage conflict and communication in a clear and empathic manner
- Ability to recognise situations that should be escalated to the appropriate person
- Ability to make decisions and take actions relating to financial queries
- Resilience to meet the increasing and ever-changing demands of the role
- To contribute to audit and research as required.
